The Girls Competition
What is the Competition?
Each autumn, hundreds of schools across the UK enter teams of Year 8 girls into the CyberFirst Girls Competition — a fun, free challenge designed to spark interest in tech and encourage more girls to choose Computing at GCSE.
No experience is needed. Teachers and learners don’t need any prior knowledge, and schools can enter as many teams as they like. It can run in class or as a club activity to fit around school timetables.

What can you win?

New Friends, Big Challenges, and a Whole Lot of Fun!
Previous finalist, Amiyah, explains why the Year 8 Girls Competition is about much more than hacking and how it has fostered strong personal bonds.
How do I sign up?
When the competition opens each year, you can sign up directly via the NCSC website.
