What are CyberFirst Ambassadors?
CyberFirst ambassadors are volunteers from across the tech and academic worlds who support our mission to grow technology skills in Wales. Whether you have a few hours a year to support activities, or just want to help promote the project, there’s a place for you in the CyberFirst community.
We partner with the STEM ambassador scheme run by STEM Learning to deliver this.
What does being an Ambassador involve?
Ambassadors give as much or as little time as they can – from just a couple of hours a year to regular involvement. You don’t need to work directly with students – being an ambassador also means being part of a passionate community who help spread our message. Your support could include:
Am I eligible?
To become a CyberFirst Ambassador in Wales, you must:
- Be based in the UK and have an affiliation with Wales
- Work or study in a technology-related field
- Have a personal or professional interest in tackling the technology skills gap
How do I apply?
Interested? To join our network you first have to sign up as a STEM Ambassador on the STEM learning platform here.
Once you’re all set up and have completed the DBS check, you can join the CyberFirst Wales group where relevant opportunities are regularly posted.
